We are just about to go to the UK for a holiday and was thinking of buying a couple of good quality bottles of wine. I know you can't take them on as hand luggage but can you put them in your suitcase?

Yes you most definately can. When we have had visitor stay with us they nearly always take a bottle or two back with them. Alot of winerys sell the special boxes to transport they back safely in. I know Horndale winery at Happy Valley sells them. Enjoy your trip back, I am heading back in January although not looking forward to the cold weather then.
Come on Michelle. Haven't you read on here how fab the tesco's and sainsburys are ??? Surely you won't have to dry out while in the UK !!!!![]()
Yeah but they aren't wine connoseurs (sp?) like us!! haha only joking.

yeah but just check the limits you can take into the Uk from non euro countries. I think it equates to 2 bottles and some spirits or something.
