Setting off today, it's been a long wait!!

We saftley arrived just under 5 weeks ago now and have finally got everything sorted now. The kids have just had their first week at Sheidow park school, OH starts work on Monday and internet finally arrived this week, it was so hard not having the internet to find info about where everything was.

Life is starting to become (better than) normal. My eldest is playing his first match for the school soccer team this morning and the kids spend most of the time playing out with the neighbours kids, something they weren't used to in the UK.

It is a bit colder than we expected but so happy to be here starting our new life in Adelaide.

It is a bit cold just now but it is winter and its like this every year, and then when summer does come and its 40 deg and its red hot you will be wishing for cooler weather.

Good luck Janine, I am sure everything will be fine. The flight is long, but lots do it with babies all the time. Enjoy your last few hours with friends & family. You will love it here, it is beautiful.

We arrive in 3 weeks time and will be staying in Pt Noarlunga for at least the first 6 months. Do you know of any playgroups in the Southern area? My son George is 18 months.

Thanks Tracey,

Everything went well with the flights and see our family a lot on skype. We are settling in well, the kids are loving school and playing out all the time, apart from the couple of rainy days we've had. And it's fantastic to wake up in the middle of winter to a blue sky and the birds singing.
