Selling House in UK

Ok guys, we are soon going to be getting our house in the UK valued with a view to sell, anyone done that from here and any advise on do's and don'ts ? Any advice greatly welcomed.

We just sold ours. Went through without any problems. We found it pretty straight forward, most things were done by e-mail. Only thing that had to be posted was the transfer deeds. Took a while but problems were all with the other sides buyers. We had to get our passports certified as a true likeness of ourselves and send to the solicitors we instructed in UK may be worth getting that done.
