      Snakes in seaford !!

The wife phoned me this morning almost in tears !!! She had seen her first snake.
It was while she was out walking the dog on the reserve at seaford rise.
I also saw my first snake on the way home in the hills, mine was freshly dead at the side of the road though ( looked like Tyke had got to it first )

There was apparantly one in Hallett Cove this morning as I walked the kids to school - luckily some bigger boys got there first

The Messinger was saying that this is the busiest start to the snake season they have had for a while and they are coming as far up as Glenelg - eek

You get quiet a lot of snakes down the reserve when its starts warming up to come out and sunbath.
If ya see a snake just ignore it and take a wide birth, it wont attack for the hell of it but will do if it feels threatend.
So dont prod them with a stick cause they can strike a lot bloody quicker than you can move.
From september through to april my dogs only get walked down christies or moana beach cause even though there trained to not attack snakes there are inquizitive.

Adelaide and its ambulances might be slow, but as you're responding to a thread that's four years old perhaps things aren't as slow as you! Will be nice to see your first positive contribution to this site ...
