Today's Budget

Just listening to budget and got a teeny bit excited about the small raise in child benefit and working tax credit which does help a little. Got me thinking though as will prpbably not get these in OZ or at least until we have been there 2 years.
It seems that there is are global implications (stemming from USA) for all economies so i guess it doesn't matter where you live as there will always be winners and losers. As long as we are no worse off in OZ (couldn't be could we?)
Rather be poor in a hot country then a wet and windy one!!
Well at least I have my new Goldfrap album to cheer me up!!
Off to watch Torchwood now!!

hi debbie , dont want to dampen your spirits but this is rip off britton, they may give you more but then they take it away, petrol , social drinking, food taxes, mp's expenditure, dont look back is what i say (just hope it works out that way for my family, im sure it will) heres hoping

Good news about a new Goldfrapp album anyway!!!

Yeah stealth taxes as opposed to upfront income tax, like you say they get you come what may (apart from the very rich) Mind you I am not sure if i can cope with the current heatwave Adelaide is having and threat of bush fires, think I would prefer wet and windy.

Untill you get here don't be to quick to call the uk rip of briton because here they call it revenue SA you get ripped of here as well as you do in the uk and if you are not on a perm visa and have more than 1 child you may find it hard.

Goldfrapp are: Alison Goldfrapp and Will Gregory they are a band and their music is quite unique!!
A little weird but very atmospheric and psychadellic.
They have a new album out which is very sweet and summery.
Not to everyones tastes mind, this is their fourth album.
