Nationwide to charge soon for cash withdrawals and Credit card use !

Guys,
Just to make you aware that Nationwide Building Society is going to start to charge for using their credit cards and debit card withdwarals outside Europe from May / June this year !

So if you are using your nationwide card in OZ to withdraw free cash (from your UK Nationwide Current account - be aware !

My A&L debit card has charged us a fee for withdrawing since we got here in November and now the OZ banks charge for taking money out of other banks ATM's

I have had a statement from Nationwide to say that they will be moving from surcharge free foreign payments to a 1% fee as from May 2009.
This is still a lot better than the average credit card, which charges 2.75% fee on foreign payments.
