Wonder if you can help us. We are really excited as we are on route to Adelaide to set up home (via USA and NZ) and due to arrive end of September. We have heard of On Arrival Accomodation, can anybody let us know how we apply for it and do you literally get it on the first night or should we book a couple of nights in a Hotel first?

Hiya all I know is you have to apply at least 6 weeks before you need it and its not garuanteed
P.S welcome to the site too!!
Thanks for getting back to us so quickly. Good luck with medicals etc, they are not really that bad, just don't get stressed about it or your blood pressure will go up, like mine did!
As we are travelling our contact with the internet is sporadic so the quick reply was appreciated.

contact Immigration SA requesting an OAA form
Due to the high demand for OAA, this service can only be provided if the proper procedure is followed and if suitable accommodation is available.
- Complete, sign and return the Form to Immigration SA six weeks in advance of the date the accommodation is required (Immigration SA will confirm in writing receipt of your form and availability of accommodation).
- Confirm the request with Immigration SA between 7 - 10 days prior to the date of your arrival, or your accommodation will be cancelled.
Thank you - just the information we are looking for! Hope everything goes according to plan with your Visa.
