Glenelg is nice all year round - obviously the beach won't be busy in May but the bars, cafes and restaurants will all still be open. It's a nice place to base yourself to have the best of both worlds - beach and easy access to the City (via car or public transport)

Just not sure wether to go for the city or glenelg now. and probably a hotel - anyone with any suggestions would be really appreciated -looked at various sites and reviews all over the place - need parking and internet. many thanks

We lived in Glenelg for the first 4 months of our life downunder (from Feb to end May) and it was always busy. It was a fantastic place to start out but too busy and noisy for us long-term.
