Eco Village at Aldinga

Whilst researching property and areas to live in SA we are becoming increasingly drawn to Aldinga and the area around Willunga. We were recently looking on the Real Estate.com website and noticed an advert for some land on an Eco village in Aldinga. This led us to the Aldinga Arts Eco Village website.

 

Has anyone out there bought a property/looking into buying land on the Eco vilalge or something similar?

 

It sounds interesting and we want to find out some more information, such as what the properties are like (we would need min 3 bed), their quality and families thoughts on living there and whether it is suitable for families (we have a 9 and 3 year old)

Hi i used to have fiddle lessons by my teacher down at the eco village. As far as i know if you buy there whatever you build has to be virtually self sustainable so solar power, recycled water etc so has to comply with the eco ethos have a look at this AAEV Aldinga Arts Eco Village - Community - Structure - Management - Building Development Committee (BDC)

Hi Clare, thanks for your pm. We had found the Eco Village link and t sounds really fab! We are going to check it out when we get to Oz. I see that you are a Nurse, I am too and will be working at Flinders once we get out there. How have you found working as a Nurse in Oz? what are the differences to Uk etc? Where is McDonald Park and which hospital do you work at?
