Hi All,

My husband myself and our two children(15 and 11 years old) have booked our tickets for 13th October.

We are so so excited but sadly we are only staying for three weeks to have a good look around.

Can anyone recommend areas quite central to stay in so we can begin our adventures looking around at different areas and is it better to stay in a hotel or rent an apartment.

I look forward to hearing any advice you have to offer and thank you for your time.

If you want somewhere central, you are probably best off looking for an apartment. Couple of companies I know do them (some have pools which it might be warm enough for in October): companies are Adelaide Regent Apartments, Accommodation Adelaide, Serviced apartments Adelaide, Adelaide Hotels, Fully furnished apartments Adelaide, Short term accommodation Adelaide city | Adelaide Regency Apartments, South Australia and Apartments Adelaide, Adelaide Serviced Accommodation - serviced apartments in Adelaide

Otherwise you could look at Glenelg (Accommodation Specialists - Welcome for instance) as that's not too far out and quite a nice place to stay with teenagers.

we stayed in a holiday let in Glandore which is about 15 mins from airport, city centre and Glenelg beaches. We found it great and the landlady was first class and not too expensive. 3 bed place with all mod cons. PM me if you want her details.

We stayed in North Adelaide, (which is a central suburb - despite being called 'north' ).

We stayed in a lovely apartment through this company;

Adelaide Dress Circle Apartments

There are also apartments in Norwood which I drive past frequently and look very nice;

Norwood Holiday Apartments and Family Holiday Accommodation Adelaide

I think staying centrally is a good idea and it's what we did on our reccie. If you want to spend some time further south too, why not book 2 sets of accommodation??
