direct connect are a company that will sort out getting ur services connected in your new house, gas electric, telephone internet etc, you will just get one call from them, they will ask u which services u want connected and then arrange it all for you for the date you take over the lease, or a chosen date when u move in, if i remember right, we used them when we first arrived 2 half years ago and it was helpful not knowing which companies provide which services, we found it useful and easier than trying to ring round several different companies trying to get everything turned on, took the hassle out of it. Good luck with the rental, and hope you soon settle into life here in adelaide:)

We used direct connect when we moved to our rental 3 weeks ago and they were great, no hassle. We just chose the services we wanted then DC gave us a call and asked what internet and phone packages we wanted and gave us prices and options and they arranged for the gas and leccy to be put on.

We used them, were a bit suspicious but haven't had anything to complain about. Certainly made the whole process of connecting gas, electricity, phone and internet very easy. I don't know if we got the best deal going, but when you have so much else to worry about you haven't the time to do loads of research. We figured we can always change suppliers later on in life if we want.

Hi there

We move to our rental house today, and used DC for electricity and gas. I think they have connection with certain company like for electricity and gas, with AGL (?), australian main utility company. You can do this yourself if know how to shop around. That's what we did with internet, and mobile.
