Hi,

We actually rented from Irene (the landlady) if I am right (but you will have to ring her) ours was a 12 months lease! We asked if she would consider less rent per week if we paid in advance but No!! Anyway, we paid $520 per week and if you go on to Refined Real Estate Website in Oz, you will see it advertised for $550. That doesnt include water. We had to pay all charges for water, normally tenants dont pay standing charge, of about $45 each quarter but we had too.

Its a nice house, great if you want the kids to go to local schools which are good. Unfortunately we were a bit green, and thought we could go into a Real Estate shop, and get a list of rentals and choose which one we wanted. But its different here (if you dont know). For a rental, there is a viewing and lots of people attend. Whoever is interested puts in a form with their particulars on (unfortunately we werent working at the time so landlords werent interested in us, even though we offered to pay 6 months up front!) The landlords have the final say who gets the house. So we wanted a rental in particular areas and couldnt get one! However through talking to an english couple, their friend was Irene the landlady and we got the house the same week it became vacant. We had no chose, we had to pay the $520 or keep struggling to find one. Let me know if you want any more info. Good luck. Soniax.
