Could anyone recommend a good real estate agent and if possible advise on the fees for selling a property.

We are with Elders, probably not the best for our area as they dont seem to push sales very much. We will have to pay 1.8% on the sale which I think is a good price compared to some others. You would probably need to budget around $2000 for advertising etc depending on how much you want to advertise

Can highly recommend Nick Tuck from Lakes and Portside. Mobile is 0408 932 775. He also lives in Glenelg area so convenient for western suburbs.

 

He an ex-pat too and has been here in Adelaide approx 2 years. He knows both the English and Australian systems really well so is very helpful when explaining the differences. He is a great young guy, very honest, thorough, trustworthy and easy to get along with. Also, Lakes and Portside don't charge anything for advertising - if they don't sell, you don't pay. They prefer appointments to open inspections too, as they check out the prospective purchasers first to avoid any time-wasters. All in all, a very pleasant stress free service.
