More rental properties available

Good news for people coming over and needing somewhere to rent. There are 40% more properties up for rent now in SA than there was a year ago.

 

I've noticed an increase around here, as we have been looking for a new rental (moving at the weekend!) - many are still vacant after weeks of being advertised, quite a few have dropped rents. Some are up for sale too, but because they are not selling they are being rented out instead.

This could slow any possible house price falls then. Seems more folk are not prepared to take a hit on a sale and rather rent till all booms again. Good news for those who are needing a rental, not just for the fodder number, but a wider of choice. I know from earlier posts some say that there are quite a alot of turd holes. ( my choice of word )

Yes,there are lot's of properties about now for sale or rent(some rooms should be let for 50 cents!)We have seen all manner of dwellings this past 3 months.It is amazing how some people live here.On the one hand we have seen wonderful,classy abodes with no expense spared,that are just that bit out of reach for us,as we never sold our house in the UK because of the slump.On the other hand we have viewed the most appalling Shiitholz you could ever see,like they have really,really never been decorated since they were built in the 60s.You would lose the will to live if you resided in them!:shocked:One thing that remains constant though,that we found,is you get exactly what you pay for!Especially when buying.
