Hi

Hope your journey is a safe one.

With renting here, you will need your passports to show ID and if you have references from a previous rental, give those as well. Your deposit will be sent through to a central point so no unscrupulous landlord can withold it. However we went with an agent.

We paid 4 months upfront to offset the fact we had no Aussie credit history or jobs. That was fine, we also had to provide a bank statement to prove we could afford it and we asked the bank to provide a less detailed one to submit for this purpose.

Good luck with everything

Libby

We have a 6 months lease left on our property in Brighton area. It is 3 bedrooms and also a separate rumpus room and kitchen. It is 100m from the beach, and in the Brighton primary and high school zone. If you are interested it is available from 10 march 2008. The rental company are McCranorproperties.com.au. There are pictures on the site of the property.
