We need to book a short term rental for when we arrive on 18th November (if anyone knows of anywhere???)... but I dont really know how long to book it for... especially as it is coming up to christmas... Will we have trouble finding a long term rental around that time of year???

Any advice would be much appreciated??? Thanks Sx

We had the On Arrival Accommodation when we first arrived, shame they dont do it anymore. We could have stayed for 12 weeks but only ended up being in it 4 weeks. I think 4-6 weeks should be plenty of time to secure a longer term rental. We spent nearly 2 weeks driving round looking at rentals every day so be prepared for a lot of ground work. Others may disagree but that was our experience.

We fly out mid September and have booked a holiday let for 6 weeks, I'm hoping this will be long enough . Our furniture is being shipped a couple of weeks before we fly so might have a short time in a rather empty house!!

Hope u find somewhere to rent soon,

Cate

Hi All,

Really interested in this post as I'm currently looking at rental situation and really don't know where to start. I guess a short term let would be best until we have a chance to find something for a longer rental period...but where do I find them???

Any good websites/advice or info would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hey guys... it depends on when you are going... a few of the guys on here have rentals... & have links at the bottom of their posts... see posts from Tyke for example... but I think most of them are booked up til next year...

These are links to a few options. I know that some of the PIA members who list short term rentals have had cancellations so check those, they usually have calendars that you can see availability.

Then there are the commercial websites like

Think you will be struggling with 2 1/2 weeks , we had 6 wks and found it just long enough , but it was over xmas were agents were closed for about 2 weeks . its a tough call!!
