Hi just wondering if anyone can give me some info on Murray Bridge as have a good chance of a job in this area. Info required would be schools in area, transport links to Adelaide and commute times, housing 3 bed needed, supermarkets, restaurants and any other general info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Gazzman

Murray Bridge is about 1 hour from Adelaide by a very good road. There is a coach service running regularly at times throughout the day from Adelaide.

Property prices are generally quite a bit lower than the city, and there are a number of new estate developments going up. It is a small town, but does have a good Golf course, Horse Racing course, Showground, Outdoor swimming pool and of course the River itself with parkland surrounding, where events often take place. Shopping - Woolworths and Coles, Bunnings etc with a number of smaller shops in the high street. Pretty good cafes etc, but town is quite small. We lived there for a time house sitting for a friend, and enjoyed it but found that it was a bit dull compared to life in the city. Did go to Carols at the racecourse and a couple of good shows in the Town Hall, which were very good. I have always considered Murray Bridge an up and coming town, but it will take quite a time before it is fully up!!!. Hope this helps.
