Rental in the city

Hi

 

I am arriving in mid January 2012 and looking for a furnished rental in the city for the first few weeks, anyone know of anything?

my husband has a job in the centre so i think it will be nice to be based there for a few weeks while we decide where we want to be and wait for the container to arrive.

January, especially mid month maybe difficult to find any accommodation situated in or near the CBD due to the Tour Down Under in the 3rd week of January, most are booked out months in advance. This is followed by the Australia Day long weekend where accommodation is at a premium, rates and availability wise.

 

Delaying your travel might be helpful in obtaining the required location or if not accommodation further out into the suburbs could be an option. There are a few search facilities for furnished properties the main one used in Australia is www.stayz.com.au
