1 months rental required 11th September

Lets hope this is not a sign of things to come, we have been let down on a rental which would have been perfect for us. After a 1 month let for 2 people, will have transport and be self sufficient etc. Holiday lets seem quite expensive for what they are so want to see if anybody has an annex or end of rental property they might let us use?

Be careful of any cheap offers on Gumtree or even Craiglist. They could be very shoddy, uninsured, potential firetraps - even not exist at all!!! - It's all happened to various members on here.

 

Holiday rentals are mainly based on a family of 4 staying so not expensive when dividing by that number instead of 2.

Yes Craiglist is a shocker, I have first hand experience of that one. Avoid that one at all costs.

Thanks all, unfortunately this is turning into bot of a task as I have now approached 4 separate people and each have given their reasons for not wanting to rent! Im too optimistic to read anything into this.

 

Airbnb seems to offer quite a few properties however all those which seem to be interesting are gone or other reasons given!

 

We do have a kind offer from somebody on this site which we may take up, however we were hoping for accommodation a little more central to minimise travel.

Try marion holiday park. If your looking to stay for long durations they drop price drastically! And no you won't be in a caravan they do nice cosy cabins!

Thank you all, now sorted, 2 bedroom annex with all the facilities between airport and CBD so convenient although not the ideal location which we had been let down on. Thank you for all previous offers however we have previously stayed central which was great and Port Noarlunga which was lovely but a little far out of town for our purposes this time. Now hire car, pester employment agents and draft up my letter of notice to my existing employer which im dreading.

 

Again thank you all, feeling a little nervous but also excited as things come together.
