Moving on

Our removalists are finishing today. We have moved into a holiday let on a friend's farm until we leave on Nov 18. Decided to stay until the kids have almost finished this current term. Everything is provided included linen and towels. As it's now low season we are only paying £750/month all inclusive. The kids have the run of all the facilities in the holiday park. Great fun and what a nice way to finish our time in the UK. Can't recommend this option enough.

sure beats dad's couch:). We are really hoping to get there the same time as you guys; and cornishbusdriver..........seems we will be up against it on the rental applications, hahaha.

Hi,

We are moving over on 24th November.Seems to be a few of us at the same time.We will be staying in our rented house until the last day, with less and less stuff being around us!!

Trying to decide at present whether to ship everything over in one go ie 20ft container and then move again when we get a long term house (we are going into a 3month let initially), or to store the big stuff and just take a half load or similar with our essential stuff and move the other stuff later. My head hurts from all the scenarios!

We also arrive 04/11/08 and were in debate over bringing all the furniture, some furniture, no furniture!! Then we decided we would take amost of it, it was when do we send it now, after we leave, when we get settled. we decided TO SEND IT ON a few weeks ago, so it is there when we get there and we can move into an unfurnished place and we can hopefully slot in our own furniture and kids wont notice if they are in GREY OLD BELFAST or SUNNY AUSTRALIA!!!

 

Scousemouse, think your right looks like we will on be in the same boat, in November, hopefully every1 gets sorted b4 xmas!!!

Don't worry we have already secured a rental so we won't be competing with you for accomodation. We arrive 20 November. We figured it's a good time to arrive so the kids have time to settle, weather's better and we're able to get things done before everyone starts Xmas shopping. Goodluck with your move.
