For lovely Golden Retrievers, Brackendell (based at Two Wells) are the best. I have a gorgeous dog from them, and he's quiet, calm, unbelievably affectionate and full of love, and very well trained. They only have pups now and again though, as breed for quality and temperament rather than profit. Website is www.brackendell.com. If they don't have any litters planned for a while, other quality breeders can be found on www.dogzonline.com.au. Many of the pedigree retrievers from quality breeders come from the best English and Scottish bloodlines.
Avoid pet shops at all costs - the pups mostly come from puppy farms and are bred in really bad conditions. The designer breed "oodles" you think you are getting often turn out to be something different, and illness & bad temperament also sadly common.
I would also recommend getting Pet insurance, and make sure your pup is enrolled in Puppy School from age 8-16 weeks so that it learns essential socialisation skills. Even the best bred pup can develop issues if not socialised properly. Enjoy!
My first dog was a Rotty and she was awesome....My current dog is a Ridgeback and she's wonderful very good family dog.....

Just don't buy from a petshop, they should be stopped from selling animals.
