Shipping Furniture to OZ

G-day, Can any one recomend a good shipping company ( or not ) we are moving to Adelaide from Manchester in 2010

Hi Les,

Our furniture is being packed and shipped on 17th August 2009. We are using John Masons who are based in Liverpool. They are very helpful and professional and Val who is the contact at the office is at hand to provide answers to any questions. There telephone number is 0151 449 3938. We also got a quote from Anglo Pacific but they were a little more expensive. Think John Masons wanted the work more than Anglo.

We are currently in the process of getting quotes and have a good response form some but not others. John Massons have not evern bothered to return my calls which I am surprised about. So far the cheapest quote has been from Excess International and the most expensive from Robinsons International.
We have been recommended a couple of local removals so will see what they next week.

They have siad they can only give us a rough idea of custom charges as it depends on what we take.

Have you tried Pickfords??

They are based here all over and have an office In Adelaide.

In Adelaide I think there called Allied Pickfords. They also do the full door to door service.
Don't forget to include a carton collection in Adelaide into your quote. Once you are all unpacked those cartons need to get collected and disposed of.

Hi we used Bishops Move they were fantastic and our container arrived after a few weeks of arriving with only 2 broken glasses, they are based in Exeter and cost £2000.

We used GB Liners they were very good, we didnt have a full container.

The price we quoted was very good we thought.
