      Private Health Cover

Just wondering if and whether you have private health cover, how you found the best policy - good comparison site? I have looked on iselect.com.au but not sure how widely they compare policies and whether any other comparison sites / particular brokers are good?

I suppose that esp with children I don't know whether all have same waiting times for say pre-existing conditions. I know the obstetric (not that I am vaguely interested in obstetricians thanks!) waiting times differ slightly.

      thanks...

we use Mutual Community. recommended by people on PIO. We have the silver benefits and ambo cover. 2 month waiting period for some things such as some dental, opticians etc, 1 year waiting period for other things and also existing conditions i think.

Hi we are also with Mutual Community, I did a lot of ringing around when we first took the insurance out and they came out best, however I don't have children so not sure on family packages.

I would say however that when you find the company you want to use and they advise you of the waiting periods say that another company is waiving those periods, I did that with MC and got some waiting periods waived although I can't recall what they were it was a while ago.

Ah great thanks for those replies, will check them out tomorrow. Yes I did see one company waiving the waiting periods so i will mention that when I do some ringing round or whatever.
