Well its that time of year again where temperatures are dropping and we are already starting to feel the chill. We live in a 2 storey house with gas fire in the main living area, and a wall heater at the top of the stairs that heats the rumpus area. No heating in bedrooms and to say it is rather cold would be an understatement. So we are now looking into heating options i.e what heating is best and what is economical to run. when we first arrived in Adelaide last Jan we stayed in a rental with reverse cycle. Although this was nice to just switch on and get instant warmth we also got a hefty electric bill. So please any suggestions anyone? other than lots of layers and hot water bottles. I am dreading winter and really dont want to be getting up in a morning for work to a freezing cold house. Also wandered if anyone knew what heat pads are that attach to the wall and are meant to be economical. When we had the energy guy come around to give us energy efficient lightbulbs he mentioned these but never got any more info on them. Did look on google but cant find anything on them.
