Combustion Heaters - installers & where to buy tile base
Does anyone know where I can buy the tile bases for a combustion (wood burning, free standing) heater? Ultimate has gone belly up since we bought ours:/

I got my tiled hearths made by an expat, Derek of Stepney, 123 Payneham Road, St Peters, 8362 0134, very happy with price and service

He made them for you? Wow, what did you pay? I'm looking at $400 for a corner hearth with slate, pre-made, which will take 2 weeks to get.

We paid $355 for a low edge Cedar surround hearth, 900x900 with autumn coloured slate tiles. We got this from Cool n Tint on Daws Road, Ferrydon Park. They were really great. We went in, chose the wood we wanted, chose the tile colours we wanted, and paid on delivery. They delivered the hearth to the company who were installing the wood heater who delivered both about 2 hours later and we were having fires that night. Corner hearths are a little bit more I think, can't remember.
We got the wood burning heater from Heatworks Coolworks. They have sites around Adelaide although the only ones I can remember is Lonsdale, near me, and Norwood which is where the installations are arranged, nice chap called Steven. Both are listed in the phone book.

Sounds like exactly what we want Libby thanks... may order that one I mention above as it seems they are all made about the same. Will let you all know what we think of our installer after the fact!

Well we are FINALLY getting ours installed on Wednesday after it's been sitting in the front room since Feb:) Will let you know what we think of JT Heating, but so far I'm pleased as they were able to source a hearth for us within a day. Can't wait to be warm and have some junk out of my dining room!

Hi Libby - I'm still going on th my OH about your gorgeous wood burning heater and how we MUST have one now!! Do you remember the price of your stove - and does the price mentioned above include installation? Can you put the fires anywhere, or can it only be in certain places? Sorry to hi-jack your post Suzer!
Thanks again! x
