Property needed
Hi all - we finally arrived in Adelaide on Tuesday and booked into a motel in Glen Osmond. Now the real work has started of trying to find somewhere to live. We've started some legwork by looking at websites, newspapers etc.
We have now deduced that unfurnished is the way to go as furnished properties are a rarity. It's a bit of a minefield out there and causing us some frustrations. We have however decided on a 2-3 bed house, furnished or unfurnished from Plympton Park down to Hallet Cove.
If anybody knows of anything could you give us the nod as staying in a motel is not good for your health or sanity for that matter.
On the positive side we are loving Adelaide and all that goes with it, from the cleaniless of everywhere to the friendly people we've had contact with. The weather's not too bad either!
Many thanks
Mark & Sara

We got fed up with all the rigmarole of going through Letting Agents, plus the time factor, and opted for going face to face with the Landlords who advertise their properties in the Advertiser. No arsing about, cards on the table, and an instant decision! That's what we wanted, and thats what we got ,though i suppose it is not always like that .Maybe we were lucky, but its worth looking into. The Letting Agent process is so demeaning and lenghty it got right up our nose.Best of luck,Billy.

Hi Mark and Sara,
We have just purchased a property that we will be renting out. It is 3 bedrooms in O'Halloran Hill, Currently it is unfurnished but we could help you out with including kitchen equipment, utensils, etc and a dining table and chairs. We found renting have to start with as landlords want confirmation of jobs and renting references. We came over 9 years ago from Seaton Carew nr Hartlepool. If you are interested call Jim on 0417 473 202, Wendy on 0422 477 241 or home 83877228 it is available this week.

Hi
I wonder if we can be of any help. We are just finalising arrangements to go back to the UK. We need to break our lease, and move out of our house asap. We are about to advertise it for rent, but need to find somewhere temporary to move into before we leave.
Anyway, if you are open to living on the beach at West Beach, it's a 3 bedroom plus study place, with new kitchen & bathroom and overlooking the sea, rent about $400pw... let me know and we'll talk more.
Otherwise... your options are to move into a temporary rental before you househunt to give yourselves time but save money on the costly motel... or find something private in the advertiser newspaper or the adelaide gumtree website online.
All the best!
Rachel
