Hi could anyone give me any info/opinions about Forestville please. We are looking at a fully furnished rental here for our first month. Would this be a good base to start out?
Thanks Samantha

close to the city around a 20 minute walk, 5/10 minutes by bus, plenty of them along anzac highway, funnily enough we stayed along there in 1991, just before south road intersection theres a shopping centre with a large supermarket inside
been here since 1991, from Nottingham, living at Wynn Vale.

Very good access to the city but still residential. I would imagine it would be very good place to base yourself in the first few weeks.
Jo (ex Hampshire, arrived in Oz 2003) + Phil (Adelaide boy!) :D
Super close to the city and the lovely Sunday farmers markets at Wayville Showground. Very convenient for transport - you have buses on lots of major nearby roads, a tram stop and also close to Goodwood train station. Also close to shopping, cafes etc on King William Road, Goodwood Road and Unley Road. There's also a great outdoor swimming pool, depending on when you're arriving.
Forestville is a lovely suburb and as others have said it is not far from the city and if you are situated close to the Tram that would be ideal. The transport links around there in any case would be excellent.
