How much for house - 3 beds with a Pool?

      Hi

This may be a difficult one to answer directly given that house prices will differ depending on location, condition, etc but......how much would one 'generally' expect to pay for a 3-bed house with pool say, in a fairly decent suburb? Would, for instance $300,000 - $400,00 Aus buy such a property. Your thoughts please, as always, would be welcome.

I'd say you're highly likely to find something in that price range...maybe even a 4 bed, if you get lucky.

      Hi Alan
Your best bet would be to look on www.realestate.com.au to get a rough guide of house price range.

      Ja.

Now, where did I put those speedos?

      Hi

Thanks to you all (as ever) for the useful info. That's cheered me up no end!! Just gotta sell this one first - mind, it's only been up for a week. Compared to some of the 'gang' here on PIA, that's no time at all. Had a British Gas engineer out today (a nice bloke who gave good VFM :)- should be working in OZ with that kind of attitude). He said that his brother lives in London where it has been reported (maybe just chinese whispers) that the housing market is beginning to pick up. You gotta believe in it tho haven't you?!! According to national press, the trend is set to fall a little more before it gets better. But, as I say thanks again - your replies were the silver lining behind a very grey cloud.

      Alan
