Ok I am going to ask the stupid question here, our kit arrives tomorrow and we have brought our Samsung LCD with us. Do we need the set top box for our TV to work here in SA?

you might not if your tv is new. you may find you get picture and no sound or sound an no picture, if you do, don't panic, you will find a set top box fixes the problem
