well, I don't think it makes much difference if he/she has applied onshore. As the waiting period for visa 489 grant is also counted with the 2 years duration, only if the applicant lived in the same regional area. so, not to worry mate. All good !

Finally guys ! got a grant mail at around 2pm today. would've been much happier if I got it long back. Anyways its time to celebrate. Thank you everyone for your support during the processing time. Really helped me understand time frames through sheets. Thank you one and all.
