Does anyone know of any jobs available in the gas or plumbing industry, even casual work. My son has just arrived and is a qualified gas engineer and surveyor and wants to have his qualifications and licences recognised so he can obtain his gas fitter license and get a job in the industry. We have been passed from SA Works to CBS (licensing) to Vetassess back to CBS and back to Vetassess then trade recognition and ORTO but still don't know who will assess him and advise if he can receive a license or the additional training he needs to complete due to UK and Australian differences. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rob Would you know how to obtain a gas license. My sons arrived 2 weeks ago and is a corgi and safe gas registered gas engineer and surveyor with 9 years experience but we have been given the run around. We were advised by skill select at SA Works the details for the guy at tafe to assess him, he didn't return any of my calls for 3 days but when I eventually got hold of him he said CBS (licensing) are the right people, they said vetassess, who said CBS who said Vetassess who said CBS but maybe TRA, ORTO etc etc. Basically im now at a loss.
