Morning all.. Got a Visa grant email on 26th Jun 2017 after 10 months and 10 days. I applied on 16th August 2016 1st CO on 14 Nov 2016 requesting documents which was already in system. 1 Feb 2016 - Birth of baby in Australia. 2nd CO on 15th Feb 2017 requesting babies document (Birth Certificate and Passport) - Submitted docs on 10th March 2017. 3rd CO on 9th May 2017 - Added newborn as a dependent and Granted Visa 489 and birding visa to newborn. 2nd June 2017 - As my 489 visa was going to expire on 1st July 2017 I sent Email to immigration saying ITS BEEN 10 MONTHS SINCE I APPLIED, MY 489 VISA IS GOING TO EXPIRE IN NEXT 25 DAYS. MY CURRENT EMPLOYER IS NOT HAPPY TO KEEP ME WORKING ON BRIDING VISA, MAY BE I WILL LOOSE MY JOB. SO PLEASE MAKE A DESICION ON MY APPLICATION. 8th June 2017 - 4th CO requested newborns medical - At that moment my newborn was 4 months old, CO shouldn't ask for her medical as she was under 6 months but instead of wasting time we did medical as requested. 21st June 2017 - Checked into online account Medical result was updated by clinic. 22nd June 2017 - Again I sent an Email to immigration saying still I got 8 days to Keep this job. 26th June 2017 - Got 887 Grant

Here we go.. Got case officer 4th time this morning asking for newborns medical who is 4 months 5 days old.. but that's ok.. I will do it.. Case officer provided HAP id as well for newborns medical.. System shown all documents are Nil for all of us except medical for newborn.. that mean Not too long.. close to 887 grant.

I applied on 16/08/16.. 1st CO 15/11/16 requesting almost all documents which was already in system (May be he didn't check them.) At that moment I become victim of lengthy process. During that time my daughter born on 01/02/2017.. I notified immigration about the same... 2nd CO 15/02/2017 asking for birth certificate and Passport for my Newborn.. submitted them and still I am waiting to here from immigration.. On 9/05/17 I got Visa 489 Grant email for my newborn, then in next minute Bridging visa for newborn, and someone added my Newborn as a my dependent into system. My be that was my 3rd co on 09/05/17 but he didn't contact me at all... And now I am Still waiting If I don't get CO by 1/07/2017, by that time my Newborn will be 6 months old that mean I have to do immigration medical for her. Then my next CO after 01/07/17 will give me HAP id for her Medical and again I have to wait.. I think by end of this year I will get my 887 grant..

Hi MSK.. You are on my Boat brother.. I am waiting for the same thing. Now, Once you submit Passport for your Newborn, next CO will Grant Visa 489 to your newborn and then he will add your newborn on your application(That mean after that if you log on to your immi account you can see your newborn as a dependant in the system, then you will get bridging visa for you new born, and that's end.. Now you have to wait as me for next CO. This is my Story.. If you are lucky you will have different one... The CO who granted 489 visa to my newborn he didn't contact me.. I got visa 489 grant email for my newborn in my inbox and bridging visa. that's the end.. I applied on 16/08/16 and Newborn birth date 01/02/17. Hope you will get your grant soon.

Hello Razor, I think I am going through the same situation. I applied on 16.8.16, 1st case officer 15th nov 16 asked for documents which was already submitted. Then i resent those documents by email. During that time my baby girl born on 1st feb 17. On 15th feb 2nd case officer asked for her birth certificate and passport. He didn't ask her medical or so.. On 9th may 2017 on got visa 489 grant for my baby girl and few minutes later i got bridging visa for her.. Our 887 application is still showing assessment in progress. But now i can see my baby girl in that application as a dependent but if i click on her helth assessment nothing is there. Its completely blank. Razor can you please tell me do I need to do medical for my baby girl. She is 3 months old. Born in Australia. Or doI need to give them any letter from my doctor. Thanks

Correct, Thats why i was asking about Consent form. Its already been 8 months 5 days and I am worried if next CO asks me to Submit Consent form then 3 more months. so in total my VISA will take 12 months. :(

Hi.. 24Aug2016. I got same question. My case officer asked me only Baby's Passport and Birth Certificate. Which I uploaded in system and still waiting for his Reply. He didn't ask me any Medical or Consent form. Can you please guide me where will I get the Consent form ? or Case officer is the one who will send it to me ? Thanks

I got Birth Certificate already for Newborn, IF second CO accepts same documents then I don't know why first CO didn't accept them. he requested almost all documents
