Which removal company?

Big hello to everyone.

It's been quite a while since we've posted but it finally looks as though we're on our way! Our visa was granted earlier this year and having consigned ourselves to the fact that we would have to let our property out, we've just had an offer for our house - hoping to complete mid August then make our way over there!

Which brings me to my actual question!

We've had quotes from two removal companies - PSS and Bishops Move (through their local partner, Masons).

The quotes are very similar and we're still undecided as to who to use. Has anyone used either of these? If so, what were they like? Any comments, good or bad, would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, personally we used PSS to move our stuff out to Oz in 2007, when it arrived and was unpacked alot of our stuff was damaged, broken, we are still sorting our claim out via their insurers to replace our goods!!!!!! We have a large side by side fridge freezer which is so dented it is unbelievable, our Outback BBQ was completely bent, computers and dvd players were broken, as was a beautiful large mirror, large picture frames were also damaged. At the end of the day it is down to the packers that pack you up, ours were in such a rush to get down the pub that they just never packed our stuff properly and stuffed everything into boxes, not taking care at all. I know others that have used PSS and found them to be ok. Just our own personal experience, we came back from Oz for personal reasons in 2008 and had Johh Masons via Kent (in Oz) move us back, they were excellent, we will therefore be swinging to use them to go back later this year. Hope this helps xxx
