Parking in the City

GaryP

Recommended Posts

Only been here a week, and have had to go into the City for a few meetings.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO PARK!!

Ended up parking in car parks on North Terrace - 2 hours $14 and then just over 4 hours $29.

Saw some deals at car parks for all day specials and early bird rates but there must be somewhere more reasonable for a couple of hours. I have a few more occasional meetings next week anyone know of anywhere cheaper ?

Thanks.

Ah you probably parked in the Myer centre carpark. Use the U Park ones, they are council run and cheaper. There's one in Grenfell St., one on top of Hungry Jacks at the end of the Mall, one in Gawler Place off North TCe. There is also one at the central market and you can free tram it down to the Mall or walk. Also try parking in the South of the city and free tramming it in.

We picked up a map of the U-Parks from the tourist info I think. Shows all the car parks in the city and all the prices. The car parks all have different prices so we just pick the cheapest one that is fairly near where we are going & walk a couple of streets.

You can download your self a copy here http://www.cityofadelaide.com.au/adccbrandwr/_assets/main/lib60089/upark_pocket_guide.pdf

Think its still $2 to park at entertainment centre all day and get the tram to the city, otherwise there is a carpark off Sturt Street a few streets down from Central market its $1.50 an hour for 3-4 hours.
