      Interstate removals

      Hi there everyone,

Just wondering if anyone could recommend a reasonably priced interstate removalist?

Used Kent Removals at short notice to ship my son's stuff earlier this year when he moved to NSW (having used them 20 years ago when we moved Melb-Adel). I found them to be reasonably priced, and the nice surprise was the very good service we received from the local office, especially when we decided to add an extra item after the truck had already moved the entire load from our house to their depot.

However, we did experience a bit of a delay in delivery at the other end - they ship via rail using QR, and according to Kent, QR can be quite unpredictable in their schedules, and so they proved to be. Still, everything arrived in good nick, and Kent were very good in keeping us informed every step of the way. Would happily use them again.

Partners parents used pods http://portableondemandstorage.com.au/ for within Queensland, but they also do interstate. If you're happy to do your own packing, they can be a good option.
