Caravans

Hi guys,

Has anyone or know anyone who has brought their caravan over from the UK to Australia? If so, do you know how straight forward it is?

I've spoken to Regency transport Inspection Centre which clears/authorises imports and they told me the rules changed in December 2010 and its now 'much easier'. I'd only need to get electrical check, change sockets, degas in UK then regas in Oz - and get it certified by a specialist. It just seems too simple, because as mentioned in previous posts, caravans cost a fortune in Australia - it'd be so much cheaper to import (and great quality) and many more would do it if it WAS that simple.

cheers :arghh:
