How do companies pack the containers?

I think it all depends on whether they can be flat packed. We told the ones that came to give us quotes that we would take apart the wardrobes and leave the drawers assembled so we could put things in them.

Flat packing can also save you space if things are tight - we only wanted to take a 20'ft container.

The best thing to do is ask them when they come round - they are all willing to help as much as they can.

Good Luck,

Mis

Hi, the shipping company we used wrapped all the wardrobes up like Xmas presents:biglaugh:. The only items that were taken apart were all the beds as these were easy to put back together over here. We filled a 20ft container and had a three bedroom house worth of furniture put in it and watching the guys pack the container is an art form in itself. You'll be suprised at how much fits in a 20ft container.

Yep thats right as much as possible goes into boxes and they go in first ,box after box then the bigger things just get wrapped like hge parcels and they are left till the end to stop things from moving in transit like full wardrobes , chest of draws , suites , mattresses etc etc ...
