Shipping advice

Hi,

 

we fly out on December 9th and have yet to organise shipping. We are not taking much one corner sofa, kid's bike, adult golf clubs, a cot, full size punch bag, some photos, canvases, kid's books and toys and a few ornaments. We obviously don't need a container so just need boxes but have looked at a few companies and I have no idea of how many containers to get or which company to go with!!

 

Anyone have any advice or recommendations?

we had a whole container full when we moved but i have heard good things about the move cube http://www.sevenseasworldwide.com/shipping/movecube, think it comes in a few different sizes.

We just shipped three boxes with PSS - can't fault them. Good price, everything arrived intact and no hassles with collection or delivery. They were a couple of weeks past the estimated date but presumably anything can happen at sea so delays are always a possibility.

 

It's interesting - having been here for a few months now I find it funny at the stuff we packed thinking we'd need which we'll blatently never need and the stuff we left behind which I really wish we had packed in its place. Still, hindsight is a wonderful thing...

You'll need a container of some sort for the sofa at least. Be it a shared one or using a move cube type thing. More people moving smaller amounts seem to be turning to the Move Cube. Most feedback for it has been positive, not much negative for it as yet. Might be worth measuring up your stuff and seeing if a Move cube would do the trick. Some clever packing may be needed to get it all to fit in a limited space but people seem to be able to pack in a fair amount.
