Flight via USA

Hi!

I haven't priced any flights yet, east or west, but because of the luggage allowance I'd prefer to go west. Has anybody done it? Is it similar price for tickets, lenght of flights, comfort (everybody raves about Singapore Airlines). Any advice will be much appreciated.

Air New Zealand goes west, They are slightly more expensive. Stop in LA and New zealand on way to adelaide.

Hi we are going this way, stopping in LA for 2 nights, then Honolulu for a week before going to sydney then on to Adelaide........ I got quotes last week, 2 adults, 1 child 1 infant is about £3000 oneway ! This is with BA and Qantas ! flying end Jan 09. I called Trailfinders they had the best deal!

I flew via LA a few years ago and it was fine!
