do 5 k over speed limit cops are all over you.bikies have a tear up their no where to be seen?
How about this - crossing the road (with our dog) on the green man for pedestrians (at traffic lights) nearly got hit by a car ignoring the lights, a police car coming round after the car stopped and told us NOT to cross when the lights were on red!!!!!!! I argued that the lights were on green for us, he then drove off, we stood looking amazed and the car behind him stopped and said to us "I wonder what he's on! It was unbelievable as we thought he was going to comment of the car that had gone before him and how they hadn't taken any notice of the lights, so if pedestrians walking their dogs are being targeted then God help the drivers.
By the way we're a couple of 65+ plus year olds so we dont take risks!!!!!!!!!
Oh I think I was just a little to straightforward wasn't I? Must have hit a nerve!
The stop sign says, "STOP". It's not okay to roll through it. If you roll through it and get pinched then you pay for it. It was your decision, the coppers were doing what they're paid to do. The very fact that some folks think rolling through is okay is testament to the fact that traffic laws have to be enforced and it's the police who have to do it.
Even Dixon of Dock Green would pinch someone for that
Sarcastic and condescending? Not intentionally - as the armchair detective put it, a little humour isn't disrespectful. Sorry if you found it so but hopefully the message will stick

We believe there are three sides to any story - or better yet, one side for each person involved plus the truth!
Royd's posts on here have been hilarious! They are so true with an enviable twist of sarcasm and a good dollop of humour! Love them!
Yes i too have had the unfortunate dealings with the police when first arriving due to traffic offenses. I have always disliked them when they cause me grief and financial harm. I cursed about the road laws etc etc.
Fact- They are very hard and prey on drivers who maybe making a genuine mistake. ( I will not bother going into detail ) There are no cautions, just fines. - They have a quota to reach. Just look out when ever there are road works and the speed changes suddenly. Surprise surprise a copper is always near and waiting.
However, i have found that their tactics have worked. About $1000 down between the wife and i and now take more notice to the road rules and my speed and for the most of the time do what is right. So you could say that their tactic's work.
Lastly i would like to say that i spent some time recently in QLD and it was oh so different. There was road works every where with speed limits reduced but everyone ignored the reductions. After a week i realised why, no police preying.
I guess what i am saying is, if you are gong to drive in Adelaide then get used to obeying the road laws quickly because if you don't you will get caught sooner rather than later.
I'm sure the elderly folk of Adelaide will feel safe in their beds tonight knowing the police are out there targeting those sinners in their cars making the odd mistake
Meanwhile back in the real world the vicious attacks on the old folks increase, but never mind you can't collect tax off muggers, thieves, druggies, etc etc
Oh yes get a ticket blame a cop because you cantdrive by the rules bad driving kills fact! As for the bikies they only shot each other let them get on with it. We have all made mistakes on the road and have learned by them we have all moaned when another car driver runs a red light tail gates or over takes unsafely and gone through a stop sign do come on its not the cops fault you got caught :$
Got 175 visa 18th April 08
