Driving license and Diabetes

Hi there,

 

not sure if this should be on here or on the medical board but basically I am a diabetic and my driving license gets reveiwed by the DVLA every 3 years, i just have to fill out a medical form and have had no problem getting it renewed as yet. Does anyone know if there is a similar procedure in Aus. We are coming in June and will need to switch our licenses over to Australian ones as soon as possible but I have never come across this topic on any of the forums.

 

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would imagine you would need to provide letters from your specialist stating you are medically fit to drive and probably an opticians letter to show you are not legally blind for driving purposes.
