Car rental or lease?

We won't have the funds to buy a car when we first arrive in Adelaide (hopefully late June/early July this year) so I'm wondering whether car rental for a couple of months is better rather than leasing?

Any suggestions/assistance would be appreciated!

We rented a car for 2 weeks in august on our reccie and we thought it was quite expensive. I am sure that there are some good deals out there though, we used Thrifty in the city centre. If my memory serves me correctly we paid almost $600 per week. We were in holiday mode though and constantly comparing $ to £s. Am sure somebody with a bit more experience will be along soon to advise you further.

Hiya,when we arrived 5 mths ago,we rented a small yaris out,it was about 350 dollars a week,but dont worry ,you can phone around the rental places and get a cheaper ,but older car easily,one,Morphett rd car sales,rents some out for 175 dollars per week,not bad,theyll get you around.ATB Billy.
