Marino - opinions please!

Does anyone live in or know Marino very well? Seen a nice house there today but don't know anything about the place. Does it have local shops? What's the school like? Any issues a potential buyer should be aware of?

Marino like Hallett Cove is on a hill (steep hill!) and only along the road from Hallett Cove back towards the city. Close by is the fantastic (IMO) Seacliff/Brighton beaches. Good transport links to the city and the south. There is a local shop on the main road but you have both the new Hallett Cove shopping Centre and the Marion Centre within about a 5/10 minute drive. My son goes to the Marino childcare centre which he loves and they transport him daily to the local kindy in Seacliff which he also enjoys going to. I've heard good reviews of the primary school there too.
