NBN Aldinga/Port Willunga

Hi,

anybody using NBN down here? Just wondered if anyone can tell me how it's worked for them possibly with Telstra with speed etc.

Yeap, had it installed last October - really good connection. I am with Adam Internet and paying $95 a month but that includes VOIP (cheap calls to UK) and Fetch TV - 100 Mbps connection, 100 gig quota (though I might have to up the quota as the kids are sucking it up).

Just done a Ookla speed test and got 5ms ping, 87 Mbps down, 38 Mbps up.

I use it for work, remoting into servers, etc and its very stable.

You end up with a few boxes on the wall (we had them installed in our study) - but the install guys were great and were happy to accommodate us.

Yes, we have it in Aldinga Beach and it is great. We are with Telstra $120 per month for TV internet and landline but I am sure there are cheaper packages out there. Good speed and yes couple of boxes inside, 1 outside but installation was quick and simple and it worked!!
