Australian Event Awards

South Australia has been named the best event state in Australia, winning the prestigious State or Territory award at the 2015 Australian Event Awards in November. Major events are critical to our visitor economy, contributing more than $277 million last year and this award is recognition of South Australia’s ability and reputation for delivering world class events. The South Australian events calendar is packed year round with a variety of new and established events that bring vibrancy to South Australia as well as interstate and international visitors. South Australian events that won awards include WOMADelaide, for EVENTelec Best Cultural, Arts of Music Event, and Adelaide Writers’ Week, for Coates Hire Best Community Event. Seven South Australian events were nominated as finalists for the awards.
