Looking to meet people

Hi me and my family moved over to Adelaide on the 22nd November. Luckily I have now found a job so will have a regular income. We have had a bit of a tour around and would like to try and make some friends or meet new people. I am 34 my wife is 41 and we have 2 daughters ages 19 & 8. My youngest recently started school so she is starting to make new friends. We live in the Richmond area at the moment here on a 6 month lease. If anyone is interested in meeting up or having a drink please let us know. Or even if there are any people around the age of 19 my daughter would like to get out and meet new people.

We are not close to Richmond I'm afraid. We are pretty busy over Christmas and new year but we'll be around in the city for the Tour Down Under I'd expect and I'm happy to meet up and say hello. Your wife and I are not too far apart age wise, my son is 8 too.

Re your 19 year old, is she into sport at all? Lots of sports played on the parklands over the summer and netball also depending the time of year is popular. As its the summer hols it may be a bit tricky meeting new people her age. Is she planning on going to uni or TAFE next year? She'll be sure to meet some people then. Or if she finds a casual job chances are she'll meet people of a similar age. All the people we know with kids are either older or younger age wise, no one around the late teens/early 20's I'm afraid. I know a few on here have older kids so perhaps they can suggest something for your 19 YO

Hi snifter, yeah if you are around the city in the new year we would definitely like to meet up. Thanks for the information for the 19 year old. She is looking into joining some clubs and also getting some bar work where hopefully she will meet a few people her own age and start socialising other than work.
