Dishlex dishwasher broken handle

Hi, has anyone experienced this problem? It seems it's a common feature of these dishwashers, and new top panels are easy to come by on the internet, but before getting one I would like to know how easy they are to change. I can't find a service manual for my model (DX203) anywhere. Can anyone help?

Regards,

I downloaded a service manual from the dishlex site, but you really don't need one. There are several good videos on You-Tube. I did as you were thinking and ordered one from Vic on ebay. Biggest problem was making sure it was the right one, but the model no. is on a plate, I think on the door. There were several very similar. My daughter fitted it before my husband got a chance. She said it was just a careful look and a few screws. You have to pull out the machine and disconnect power. Certainly a lot cheaper than a callout!

As far as I can remember, the panel comes as a one piece unit and it is not attached to any of the switches or lights, (maybe just one), it just fits over the top and is held in place with a couple of screws. If you look at the ones on ebay you will see what I mean. This is the part which we bought:

DISHLEX DISHWASHER CONTROL PANEL FACIA ASSEMBLY PART # 1560666-10/7 White

( 272132681629 )

The handle is totally a bad design. Hope that is some help to you
