South Road - Anzac Hway/Cross Rd Closure

Yeah, it's a bit of a bugger. I'll probably skip down via Belair and Fullarton as there are some road works on Goodwood. I can't face Marion

Just remember - "built for Australian conditions" actually means "heap of crap".

It really shouldn't be falling apart so soon! This was all being built when I arrived nearly 10 years ago.

I don't know if there's any truth in what I heard...but I was told that certain areas have fault lines running through them (the Anzac rd bridge being one of them)? The other area that was mentioned is the really bumpy section of road leading from Hallett Cpve to the Majors Rd turnoff.

This was something that I was told in a conversation with a local bloke who was describing how minor fault lines run across different areas causing havoc with road maintenance and construction.....does anyone know if there's any truth in this or was I just being gullible? !

Thankfully the road has been re opened (with a 40km speed limit by the looks of it) but cyclists and pedestrians are unable to use the bridge I think.

At least it's open!

I was at SA stadium on Saturday and have another two trips this week and not having to detour will be great!
