Teacher qualifications

Does anyone know why, having paid and had qualifications assessed by ACECQA(Australian Children's Education Quality Care Authority) for state nominated visa as a teacher, you have to have pay again and have them reassessed by TRB(Teachers Registration Board) before you can work?

Frustrating, yes. But apart from the fact that the skills assessment done for the VISA has a time limit, it's not for work purposes and states that on the certificate they give you. It's a way of making more money: if they can charge you for something else, they will. Worth it though!!

C'est la vie I guess. Hopefully a little more expense is worth it and we'll be over in the new year after tedious visa wait:smile:
