Hi folks,

My wife and I moved over from the homeland just shy of two months ago and after a PIA meet-up in Glenelg last weekend, I decided to put out a call for fellow Scots. So if you fancy meeting up for a coffee/drink/whatever to chat about your experience of Adelaide to date or alternatively auld Scotia, let me know. We're late twenties, no kids and enjoy a good feed with some booze ;). By the way if there's any Tims out there I'd love to hear from you.

Cheers!

Jamie

We moved just over 2 years ago, love every minute of it. Although we aint into the going out stage anymore with the kiddies, but love the barbie's and beer none the less. And you can get the football, just get foxtel and subscribe to Setanta, not gone bust over here yet, and still get the SPL on it.

We have been here for 14 months now I am from Glasgow and my wife from Edinburgh and we are loving it.

Unfortunately I am a Rangers man but if you want to meet up for a drink and talk about the last Auld Firm game, I am up for it.

Hello all.....well, we've just got 1 week until we leave Scotland. My wife is from Edinburgh and I'm English (a devonian - so it'll be good to be by the sea again)....as for the footie, Shaun already knows that I am a Liverpool fan....still trying to get over the fact that we were beaten at the weekend by a bloody beachball and a ref who knows less about the rules than I know about particle physics!

I'm looking forward to being able to come along to the next meet-up. Our first 4 days are going to be in Semaphore and then we're going to be in Brighton (I think we may be staying in the same place that Chris & Allie will be vacating for their new pad in Glenelg - just got confirmation from Donna Jacobs earlier today).

Let us know if you need anything when you arrive as we will be just up the road!

Hello everyone!

Some of you may have been wondering if I had disappeared off the face of the earth after so enthusiatically starting this thread. Anyway aside from getting sidetracked by other things, finally finding work and being unable to access the site, I'm back. I'd just like to say a big thanks to everyone who has replied on this thread :notworthy:

I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer weather, I know I am

hi there folks. From Ayr myself so c`mon the Honest Men, was at the cup final several years ago when Gers tanked us 4-0. Was raging, backed us for a 3-0 loss, lol. Always look out for the Auld Firm results and a mate i work with is a Gers fan to ( from Glasgow). Maybe you can have a get together for the Auld Firm clash in Jan ( think its the 2nd). Pub in Hindley Street will be showing it, been there once before to watch it and they get a small crowd. How you enjoying life here so far? All the best Peter

We're coming out to Adelaide in July time. Would be well up for a drink and footie chat, however since Falkirk is at @rse end of the table I can't tell you what its like at the top of the table!

Does anyone go see Adelaide Utd? How bad is it?! Worth getting a season ticket?

Nearer the time, you should post for a Scottish Meet-up. Glenelg seems to be a popular meeting up point. Plenty of places to suit all tastes. We'd be happy to get involved.

Hi everyone!! Looks like im a couple years too late... My partner and I have been here 7 months. Im 25 from Falkirk and he's 29 from Broxburn. We've been here for 7 months and now awaiting our permanent visa being finalised. It's about time we started socialising with other people now!! So please count us in if one of these comes up again.

Thanks - Fiona (Adelaide CBD)
